The assignments were based 2D but I often expand it to 3D which added a lot of overnight work 'til the dawn so that once or twice a week I walked around like zombie on campus haha.
But Prof. DeMaria taught me to do things that I'm passionate about and that it's only me that can limit myself from my goal. Things don't always turn out the way I imagined so it is imported to try the things out and then see where it takes you. Just do it and die trying right? Also it is not wrong to see and look what other people do and get inspired by. Everything is a copy of copy of copy. Within the class I was able to learn from the others and admire or dislike their work but at least I had the chance to made my own opinion and learn about craftmanship and design.
